On Monday, February 23, 2026, snowstorm Hernando swept through the region, and it was one for the books. For the first time since 1996, the entire state was under a blizzard watch warning, bringing with it the kind of conditions that can quickly bring logistics operations to a standstill. For many businesses, a storm like this means delays, disruptions, and a slow road back to normal. For us, it meant our maintenance crew was already gearing up before most people had even checked the forecast.
While the snow was still falling, our team was out there — plowing, salting, clearing, and doing whatever it took to make sure our warehouse and distribution facilities were ready to go. It wasn’t a glamorous job, and it certainly wasn’t easy, but that’s never stopped this crew before. They moved quickly, worked smart, and kept pushing until the job was done.
On the same evening, Hermann Services was fully operational.
A turnaround like that is a direct reflection of the people behind it. Our maintenance crew understands that their work isn’t just about keeping lots clear and loading docks accessible, it’s about keeping commitments to our customers. Every hour we’re not running is an hour someone is waiting for a shipment, a delivery, or a product they’re counting on. Our team knows that, and they take it seriously.
Reliability isn’t just a talking point; it’s something we must earn every single day, and sometimes that means earning it in the middle of a historic blizzard. The fact that we were back up and running the same night the storm hit says everything about the dedication of this team.
To our maintenance and snow removal crew: what you did on Monday didn’t go unnoticed. You worked through some of the most challenging weather conditions this region has seen in nearly three decades, without any hesitation. Thanks to your effort, we never missed a beat. We are incredibly proud to have you as part of this team, and we are grateful for everything you do to keep this operation running — rain, shine, or snowstorm.
A special thank you to Byata Wilder, Clint Randall, Paul Galgani, and Alonso Darcia! Your hard work, dedication, and teamwork on Monday made all the difference. Hermann Services runs because people like you show up, no matter what.
That’s the Hermann difference. And it starts with people like them.
