Industries
Job sites run on tight timelines, materials need to arrive on schedule, and there is little tolerance for delays. At Hermann, we understand that keeping a project on track means having the right materials in the right place at the right time.
A handling error isn't just a claims issue. It can become an environmental incident, a safety emergency, or a reputational crisis that takes years to recover from.
Food and beverage logistics is one of the most demanding segments within supply chain management, and one of the least forgiving. Every product has a shelf life. Every delivery has a window.
In healthcare logistics, there is no room for error. Products must be stored correctly, handled carefully, and delivered on time, every single time.
Empty shelves cost sales while late deliveries can trigger chargebacks. A missed Must-Arrive-By-Date (MABD) doesn't just inconvenience a buyer, it shows up as a deduction on your invoice. In retail, the margin for error isn't just thin, it’s almost nonexistent.
In manufacturing, efficiency isn't optional; it's everything. Production lines depend on a steady, reliable flow of raw materials in and finished goods out, and any disruption in that flow can have a cascading effect on your entire operation.

Employee Spotlight: Mike Horvath

a close up of a sign Author : Hermann Services

At Hermann we value the contributions, knowledge, and experience of our employees, and this month we’re putting the spotlight on Michael Horvath!

Mike started working with Hermann Services in the transportation division in 2011. Today, he’s the Northeast General Manager, overseeing our team of driver managers and planning Hermann drivers throughout the northeast.

“My father worked in trucking as long as I can remember. I started working in the industry as a teenager,” Mike said when asked about how he got into the transportation industry.

Regarding his current role, Mike said, “I’m most proud of the journey to get to my current role. It’s been rewarding to grow in the company and have Hermann recognize my efforts.”

Mike has many great memories with former and current associates at Hermann Services from all divisions. “I enjoy the camaraderie and partnerships,” he noted. However, one of his favorite memories was from 2014. “We had a lunch/wedding shower, and I was surprised to see that my wife was invited to surprise me. Then we had lunch from

the best Chinese place!” Did we mention that Mike is a bit of a foodie? He has some of the best recommendations for getting diverse foods throughout New Jersey.

Outside of work, Mike enjoys and cherishes time with his family. One of his greatest accomplishments is his “happy, healthy family. I consider myself very lucky,” he said. Also an avid New York Rangers fan, Mike avidly follows the team and can frequently be found in the office sporting Rangers gear – a lanyard with his company badge, a coffee tumbler, or even jerseys!

When asked to describe Hermann Services in three words Mike supplied: passion, dedication, and family.

We can certainly use the same words to describe him! Mike’s passion and dedication to his role has been a huge benefit for Hermann Transportation, and his outgoing and supportive nature contributes to the family atmosphere at Hermann Services.

Thank you, Mike, for all that you’ve done!
