Hermann Services, Inc., headquartered in South Brunswick, NJ, offers trucking transportation, brokerage, warehouse, and packaging services throughout the United States, specializing in the Northeast and Gulf Coast/Texas Regions. The Logistics Manager manages our Logistics & Brokerage Team to coordinate cargo movements across the Northeast and Gulf Coast/Texas Regions. Responsibilities include working with the Logistics, Finance, Sales, and Safety Departments to safely and profitably move freight.

Responsibilities:

  • Manages the Logistics Coordinators to ensure excellent customer service and to meet goal margins
  • Engage with customers to build positive relationships
  • Provide On-time service & SOS Compliance
  • Work with accounting on unbilled deliveries, outstanding and aging carrier payments, Demurrage & Per Diem reconciliation, and Billing & Accessorial reconciliation
  • Weekly and monthly reporting of revenue and margin performance
  • Sales pricing and bidding on new business with salespeople
  • Spot market analysis of prices and carrier pay
  • Dispatch System Compliance, Open orders closed daily
  • Power Only Trailer Tracking compliance
  • Trailer Pool management and Carrier trailer usage bill backs
  • Carrier procurement, retention, and safety compliance¬†
  • Employee engagement and retention, finalize monthly bonuses
  • Other duties as assigned
Job Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and Customer Management Systems.
  • Data entry skills with attention to detail.
  • Experience working in a Customer Service role.
  • Transportation industry experience preferred.
