Hermann Services Headquarters Moves to 21 Distribution Way

Hermann Services proudly relocated our corporate headquarters to the newly renovated office located at 21 Distribution Way in Monmouth Junction, NJ.
Hermann initially purchased the 80-acre property back in 1968 and developed several terminals on the grounds – totaling 400,000 square feet of warehouse space and 110 dock doors. Many of those buildings were sold off over the years until Hermann retained the 21 Distribution Way location. Prior to the renovation, James and John Capra, brothers to Chuck Capra who is the President of Hermann Warehouse Corporation, kept things moving smoothly in the 210,000 square foot facility. However, times and needs changed, and Hermann Services decided that 21 Distribution Way would make for an ideal headquarters.
Construction and renovation began in September of 2021, starting with clearing out the existing first floor office space. The ceilings were opened up to give off an industrial feel, private offices were added for employees, and several other elements – such as two meeting rooms and a coffee lounge complete with a fireplace – were constructed. Then the second-floor offices were redone, opening up the space and adding a stairwell from the first floor. Outside, the front of the building was upgraded, a patio and landscaping were added, and corporate signage was added.
But the office space wasn’t just getting a modern facelift – the Hermann Services leadership team decided to utilize the interior to showcase Hermann’s ninety-five-year, family-owned and operated history. Front and center was the refurbished White Motor Company truck, aka Hermann #1, that Fred J. and Myrtle Hermann owned at the advent of the Hermann Forwarding Company in 1927. The conference room showcased a leadership wall with portraits and a timeline of Hermann's presidents. Additionally, the large wall in the operations room was decorated with a mural of important people, events, and locations from the company's history.
Karin Baran, fleet maintenance/road service coordinator, remarked, "This new space is beyond words. It's spacious, beautiful, and inviting – will really be a pleasure to come to work every day."
