Hermann's Houston Transportation Fleet Relocates to an Improved Terminal
Hermann Transportation's Houston division has relocated to an upgraded terminal just 1.5 miles from downtown, inside the 610 loop and close to the Union Pacific Rail Yard.
Improvements over its previous location include proximity to key distribution points, better office space, and hard surface yard space. Leased from American Warehousing, the terminal provides the opportunity for Hermann clients to work with extended warehouse space in addition to the Hermann Southwest facility.
Hermann's Houston-based terminal operates over-the-road truckload transportation through the Gulf States, up the Eastern Seaboard, and into the Northeast. Its regional intermodal operations deliver containers into and out of the Port of Houston providing service throughout the states of Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, and Oklahoma. All of Hermann's Houston-based drivers are HAZMAT certified and are TWIC cardholders allowing them access into any port and refinery. The division also works closely with the Hermann Southwest storage facility in La Porte, TX where they provide drayage service and place freight onto flatbeds or transload containers for a turnkey operation.
According to Operations Manager, Scott Engolio, "The fact that we have local drayage, a large dry van fleet, warehouse facilities, and logistics brokering makes Hermann Services one of the few one-stop shops in the area."
