Hermann Provides Pit Stop for Jazzy's Run Across America

During Jasmine "Jazzy" Jordan's run across the country to raise support and awareness for the St. Christopher Fund, she stopped by Hermann Services to receive support and tell her story. The St. Christopher Fund is a non-profit organization that helps independent truck drivers who require funds for medical assistance. Jazzy's fundraising story began during her junior year in high school in Ashby, Minnesota, where her parents own a pilot car trucking company for oversize loads. In April of 2009, a driver named Sheila Grothe succumbed to cancer and passed away. The experience inspired Jazzy to help make a difference. She launched a fundraising campaign by running from California to New York City. Once we learned of her lofty goal to help truck drivers in need, we wanted to help. We invited Jazzy here and she was kind enough to stop by and tell us her story in person. Hermann held a company-wide welcoming party where we presented Jazzy with a donation for the fund. She enthusiastically spoke with us about her experience and signed T-Shirts. Determination, courage, and strength are just a few of the words to describe this amazing individual. We are all the better for meeting her and sharing in her story, no matter how small our role. If you would like to read the entire story on this amazing girl, visit www.runwithjazzy.com.
