In an effort to secure savings through the utilization of a dedicated transportation delivery program, Grainger has awarded Hermann its first dedicated contract. Hermann Services was awarded the routes from the Mid-Atlantic and Southwest based on our stellar reputation for service in the Northeastern region where we handle branch replenishment, yard management, and hub market programs for Grainger.

Under the agreement, Hermann Services dedicates four drivers to the project spearheaded by our lead driver, Bobby Dicky. With 25 years experience under his seatbelt, Bobby knows what it takes to make this a success. Many changes in conditions and logistics can affect schedules and it is the lead driver’s responsibility to orchestrate the program so that all goes according to plan.

To date Hermann Services has performed flawlessly under Bobby’s leadership. His team makes four trips a day from Grainger’s Roanoke facility to our Houston warehouse. Loads are then sorted and shuttled to stores in the Houston and Dallas, TX area. Our ability to offer LTL service to shippers in the region allows us to provide competitive pricing in addition to superlative service.
