
Hermann Partners with Ports America to Provide Transload Warehouse Service in Houston

Houston, TX — Hermann Services has partnered with Ports America to provide transload warehouse services at its Port of Houston container freight station. The 50,000 square foot, rail-sided transload facility is based on a twelve acre concrete yard, capable of handing any type of cargo for import and export through the port. The partnership promises to cost-effectively manage a shipper’s total supply chain needs through the Port of Houston.

Headquartered in Dayton, NJ, Hermann Services Southwest is supporting its port transload services with a 300,000 square foot, 10 acre rail-sided warehouse based in La Porte, Texas. The facility offers transportation services through a dedicated fleet of tractor trailers and third party logistics services.

Hermann’s transload capabilities include onsite and offsite container staging, container stuffing and stripping, direct discharge container transload, and refrigerated transfer with plug-in capability. Rail-sided within the port gates, the facility can accommodate hopper car, conveyor, and bulk truck transloading as well as outsize storage and oversize cargo handling.
The facility’s unlimited materials handling capabilities include all commodities, steel, paper, plastics, palletized cargo, bags, box containers, retail merchandise, forest products, temperature controlled products, rolling stock, conveyor products, military and heavy lift cargo.
